BIG GIRL!

Yep, I am realizing that my little baby is growing right before my eyes-- and quickly. Long gone are the days of an activity mat holding her attention (she rolls off within seconds), or trying to convince her that a pacifier is a GOOD thing (she hated it from day 1)... and now, Vance and I have said goodbye to the infant car seat. Goodbye days where she would sleep for hours in her carseat while we walked around the mall (carseat-->stroller), so long days of simply carrying the carseat into the house if she fell asleep on the ride home... le sigh.

Here she is in her carseat -- Graco Snugride 32-- the last day! Sob.



Daddy was busy taking out the carseat and assembling it, so we got to play a little bit before we tried it out. Sorry for the lack of pants, but it was hot. (Yep, we live in Hawaii where it is hot and humid year round)

Aaaaand here is my BIG GIRL in her brand spankin' new carseat! Honestly, I thought this carseat would be a cure-all and she would instantly stop crying on our long rides, but it's not. Boo. We still have to resort to singing little kid songs (my fave. being The Green Grass Grows All Around--- no clue if that's the correct title, but that's the main line in the song)...
