Also, Vance has started to enter the crazy world of DSLR-- we are currently borrowing my uncle's Canon Rebel-- the first one to hit the market. It's around 5-6 years old, but in great condition and from what I hear, not too much has changed in the DSLR world. Or I could be wrong? If you recommend getting a new camera, please suggest the brand/make/model and reasons why. We are debating between purchasing a new lens and keeping the camera we have, or buying a new model. [Side note: he has no experience in photography, but is eager beaver to learn]
