Life after ONE

I'm going to have to file this as another "things I said I'd never do" ... which is to buy a pair of Crocs. I am on the hunt for comfortable shoes to walk around all day in Disney World and since I am totally against running shoes with regular clothes (it's a personal style choice... just can't wear running shoes unless I'm actually running/walking with dogs/doing some sort of outdoorsy thing) and my Chuck's killed my feet when I was at Disneyland, Vance suggested I look at a pair of Crocs. (He said that I am not allowed to wear slippers [flip flops] to Disney World because he will not tolerate my complaints that my feet are sore)

Here are my options:

Option 1:

Option 2:

Option 3:

These 3 options will probably match the outfits that I own. I wear a lot of basic colors anyway... not too many crazy prints and will most likely be walking around in shorts and a tank top (typical), or a sundress of some sort. I am a very casual dresser (think Roxy/Santa Monica pier surfer chic, ha!)

Please tell me if I am making a big fashion no-no by even thinking of buying Crocs. Or convince me that they are the best shoes ever and are actually pretty cute. Either way, I can be swayed because I'm not totally convinced yet.

If you have any other shoe-suggestion, please send 'em my way. I just purchased 2 Havaiana slippers through Gilt Groupe, so I think I'm pretty set on slippers. I need something comfortable that will allow me to walk the entire day while possibly carrying a 26 pound toddler around. (Did I mention that we went for her one year well baby check-up? Anyway, she weighed in at 26.2 lbs and 30 inches)

Anway, so what have we been up to now that the big party is behind us? Well ... the same things that we were up to before the party! Playing, mostly and now looking forward to our trip!

Here are some pictures of my little toddler:

We received a gift card to Toys/Babies R Us from Vance's sister. Since it's summer and nice out, we decided to buy a little pool for Brooke. It took Vance about an hour to blow it up. He pretty much almost passed out after he was finished. And it's sitting in our living room. It looks like this:

Enormous, no?

Very unsure about this...

Luckily I threw in some toys for her to play with

Still unsure, but we'll fill it with water and take it outside (and she can sport her new bikini) and we'll see how she likes it. :)

  3. that is the coolest looking pool!!! your toddler (i know, it's still hard for me to say, too!) is going to love it!!! i want my hunter to have a pool! i was totally against crocs, too... but i have pair #2... they are pretty comfy but very stinky - i thought crocs didn't stink (either i'm just strange and extra stinky or they do!).
