I was truly flattered! Of course, I took my blog-tag very seriously and had to think about what my favorite things in our house were. It's rather a shame that I'm such a minimalist and really have no decorating taste. Every time I try to decorate, it never looks like the rooms on HGTV and ends up looking like a hodge podge of colors and prints. So I've stopped trying. Our rooms are simple. So bare with me, will you?

I seriously debated putting this picture up because I have a love-hate relationship with it, but this is Brooke's toy shelf. I like it because it's so her and she is always taking down toys and bringing us books to read ... and I hate it because she is always taking down toys and bringing us books to read ... and the toys are NEVER EVER on the toy shelf. Oh, and on top of the shelf lives our fighting fish, Pierre.

Hello Kitty Japanese doll that Brooke received from my brother and his girlfriend for girl's day (Currently out of Brooke's reach, as she would DEMOLISH it!)

Part of an artwork we received from my cousin for our wedding. She carried it all the way from China (? Might be Japan or Thailand ... hmm) to Hawaii to frame it and everything!

Brooke's pottery barn chair. Now that she knows that she's supposed to sit in it, she's constantly in it! She stands up on it and tells herself, "down!"... And then she'll sit down.

My uncle (whose house we live in) used to LOVE Mickey Mouse. So much so that he had a Mickey Mouse collection and his house was full of Mickey Mouse memorabilia. Here are a few we've left up:

Have yet to hang a Mickey Mouse poster in Brooke's room and we also have a Mickey fountain in our garden. So there ya have it :) A few of my favorite things ...
