Last day: MAGIC KINGDOM!

This is my last trip post because it was our last day in FL? What's that you say? You were getting tired reading and seeing pictures of our trip?! Well, rejoice because here's the last of it. (At least I think). As previously mentioned, we 'saved' the Magic Kingdom for the last day, even though we had gone at night once two days before.

Here's my little lady checkin' herself out in the mirror with a Minnie Mouse purse my mom bought her:
Sassy little one, isn't she?

We woke up early to take advantage of the extra hour we received for staying at a Disney Hotel...

Check out our Mickey Mouse shirts. . . Vance swore he'd never wear one, but didn't want to be a party pooper... what can I say? There's something seriously magical about the Magic Kingdom! Makes you do weird things ... like actually sport Mickey Mouse shirts.

And Cinderella's beautiful castle... deserves it's own picture.

Let me tell you a funny story. Once I found out you could actually eat INSIDE of Cinderella's castle, I freaked out and demanded that we dine there. I called and called and called (this is WEEKS before we arrived in FL) and apparently you need to make reservations SIX MONTHS in advance! Craziness. Well, one of the fine workers at WDW finally suggested I go up to the front table and ask if there have been any cancellations, and if so, could we take their spot? So we rolled up to Cinderella's Royal Table at 8:30am, and asked if there had been any cancellations and OMFG, there was one! The little six year old girl in me sprung to life. We were actually going INTO Cinderella's castle!

Apparently, if you don't cancel within 24 (might be 48?) hours of your reservation time, you end up paying in full. Vance and I called every.day we were in FL and there were NO cancellations ... which means some family was down $50.00/head for their no-show!

Here's what $50.00/person breakfast looks like:

Oh, and you get these wands/swords for free. And a wishing star. And you have to twirl your wand around and make a wish and the lights in the room twinkle and everything. It's pretty amazing, if I say so myself. The wand is now Brooke's favorite toy at home... she carries it all over the house and bangs it on tables and walls.

Princesses. Sleeping Beauty was easily 40 years old. I kept looking at all of the excited little girls in the room and thinking to myself, "I can't wait to bring Brooke here again!"

Let's pray that when we do bring her back, breakfast won't be $100.00/person. Because then I'll just have to show her pictures to prove that she indeed, ate in Cinderella's castle.

My poor parents who were kind enough to foot the outrageous bill.

After breakfast, we hopped on a few rides.

The bottom left picture is theeee cutest! We rode Snow White's ride and Peter Pan's adventure.

Brooke ended up taking a short cat-nap, so Vance and I raced to Space Mountain and the Toy Story ride, where you shoot lasers at aliens (he whooped me at that). Then my parents called to report that Brooke had awoken from her slumber, so we headed to Toon Town:

Then hopped on the train to Frontier land:

You can tell how HOT and HUMID it was in these pictures. All 3 of us were miserable. What kind of train isn't air conditioned?!

We stuck around for the character parade. Brooke waved to EVERY character there.

Headed back to our hotel room so Brooke could take a nap. Once we got back to the Magic Kingdom, we ate dinner and Vance & I jumped on Splash Mountain while the electric light parade went on (thank goodness we caught the light parade the day before) and then we caught Big Thunder Railroad just in time to race back to Cinderella's castle to watch the fireworks.

Oh, and is it just me or is Briar not a cute name for a little girl? Vance looked at me and laughed when I said that. Pfft. Clearly the man has no taste.

Here we are in Main Street and my failed balloon picture. Would have been nice if it wasn't windy. We stayed for the 11:00pm light parade (and my daughter was still awake!)

Went back to our hotel room for the last time... slept for 3 (possibly 2) hours, and had to be ready to leave at 3:30am because Disney's Magical Express was waiting to take us to the airport!
I may or may not have actually been crying in the bottom left picture.

And that was our trip! I miss it already. :(

  3. Oh my gosh, how did I miss all that fun??? I just got caught up on your posts from Father's day to now. Looks like an AMAZING trip!!! I can't believe they created all of that, it's pretty incredible and about 10 times cooler than Disneyland it seems (I went to Disneyworld once, but can't really remember the details...). I have to say, you guys are major troopers w/ the plane flight. Me + Addie + Portia on 5 hr flight to Houston was horrible. Like, jump out the plane, Addie screamed nonstop, didnt sleep for a second horrible. I can tell Brooke is a good traveler and good natured.

Oh and PS: You look so cute, even after no sleep!! jealous :)
