Honestly, I think I was born & raised somewhere in Georgia or down South. I love anything and everything country-- cowboy boots, cowboy hats, country music, old barns-- you name it, I love it. I know, it sounds strange-- an Asian girl from Hawaii who loves all things Southern. Strange but true. I'm not into anything 'vintage,' which seems to be the huuuuge craze right now-- I've tried to shop vintage and thrift stores and it's just not for me. The words 'rustic' and 'simple' resonate far more deeply than vintage and chic.
Our wedding was relatively big and was a typical 'Hawaii' wedding in a hotel ballroom and whatnot. We did have the ceremony in a tiny chapel, which was more me than was Vance, but if it were totally up to me (and I didn't have to worry about accomodating 200+ guests), I would have had a backyard celebration with string lights, a fire pit and to just be surrounded with CLOSE friends and fam. We could have had an outdoors wedding (we ARE from Hawaii after all), but truth be told, we're not beach-goers and we had a lot of elder guests who we worried about if it were to rain (and be slippery) and the heat (we were married in June). We tried to accomodate for others, which I regret doing, but I did want our guests to sit comfortably in air-condition the entire night.
Anyway, getting to the gorgeous pictures.. all photos from here
I love string lights ..

This 'first-sight' meeting is so adorable-- and the bride is just gorgeous.
