Handbag update...

You know, I really decided I was going to try and be frugal and save some money on this handbag purchase, even if it meant buying a second-hand bag. I don't really spend money on shoes or expensive clothes, but I do enjoy a nice handbag (and I only have two handbags I use, so don't get crazy on me).

I 'stalked' Ebay for about a month before bidding on anything and finally found this AMAZING deal (in my mind) -- a brand spanking new Marc by Marc Jacobs bag (okay, without tags, but who needs the tags?!)-- never been used, etc, etc for $100 off the retail price and no shipping. I bought that sucker straight away and this is what I got:

The top handle on the bag was already fraying -- near impossible to fix! In fact, the only way I could 'fix' it would be to possibly glue it down and even then-- who the hell spends $300 on a bag and glues down the leather strap?

Luckily the seller has told me that I can return the handbag for a full refund-- but the hassle of having to drive down the post office, return the bag, wait for the refund and then have to search for yet another bag has made me completely bonkers. I think I will be buying this handbag at full price and enjoying the peace of mind that my bag is really NEW and AUTHENTIC (not sure if this one is!) and if a problem arises, I can take it back to Neimans or Nordies and get myself a new bag!

Argghhhhh.
