Update

Praise the Lord that we're okay. Here's an article titled Tsunami Spares Hawaii Major Damage, if you're interested in reading. It was a bit chaotic last night. We were glued to the TV watching CNN and the terrible damage in Japan-- it almost brought tears to my eyes watching. Then sirens were going on-and-off all night trying to alert those that were (1)sleeping, (2)not watching TV, or (3)not even home!

They even talked about Hawaii & the sirens on CNN:

Vance left to fill up our cars with gas at around 10pm and said there was about a 20 minute line at the gas station for this really unpopular station that NEVER has a line. We are really ill-prepared! Both of our cars had about a quarter tank filled. :(

My girl did this through the sirens, the news, her daddy leaving and returning twice:

Please, please continue to keep Japan in your thoughts and prayers. Here is some news from CNN about the devastation. People in Hawaii have strong ties to Japan, and I'll bet that almost everyone at least knows OF someone in Japan right now, knows of someone with family in Japan or knows someone personally who lives there. Truly heartbreaking. Please pray.

Thank you for checking up on us and leaving sweet thoughts. :) So very appreciated!

  3. Thank goodness!

I get stocking up on ice, water and food... but you'll have to explain the whole fill-the-car-with-gas thing to me. We totally don't get it. Where's anyone going on this rock?!
