This was one of my FAVORITE moments from the wedding, aside from first seeing Kate's gorgeous gown ... when Prince Harry sneaked a peek at Kate walking down the aisle and smiled and turned to say something to Prince William ... I can only imagine the things he told him. (Wait till you see her? She looks amazing?)
Then, this is out of order since these are the night reception dresses, but I loved everything that Pippa Middleton wore (side note: LOVE.LOVE.LOVE the nickname Pippa. Not a huge fan of Philippa but totally in love with Pippa!)
And she was just perfection the whole day..
SO CUTE!
Are hats in style in Britain? How did everyone know to go out and buy the craziest hat they could possibly find and wear it to the Royal Wedding? Some of them were absolutely faaaabulous and made me want to wear a crazy funky hat to the next wedding I go to!
Okay, but what was UP with this hat?!?!?!?!?!
And last, but certainly not least... she was abso-fricking-lutely gorgeous. Drop dead gorgeous!

ReplyDeleteI woke up early this morning to watch the coverage and I was very pleased. I've always been fascinated with the royals, so I was happy to watch this event live. I loved Kate's dress – I thought it was elegant and timeless. This wedding is a fairytale ending for a lovely couple. Kate and William seem so down to earth and they appear to be really in love. I wish them all the best!
ReplyDeleteI've watched parts of the wedding all this evening/night and saw the big 'kiss' live this morning on tv before I left for the dr! She was sooo beautiful! LOVE the pictures you put up..I didnt know about Harry sneaking a peak of Kate walking down the aisle..that is priceless! And I'm with you on Pippa...she looked gorgeous as well (and cute name!)!

I just love how sweet and classy Kate is... and I have to admit I was imagining having a daughter and seeing her grow up like that!

And how did everyone have such different hats? There were nearly 2,000 people there!
Ahh! I agree with everything. We must think alike. I also loved everything Pippa wore and thought what Harry's girlfriend wore was frumpy and unflattering. Harry looked so sweet and I wish we knew what he said!! That little grumpy bridesmaid girl on the balcony cracked me up. The kiss was disappointing to me. I wish they could hug and smooch a bit longer. I wanted affection!
ReplyDeleteOh and yes, hats are practically a requirement in Britain and Australia for important events. The tradition is to have a different hat than everyone else, usually one that is custom made to match your outfit. It is a fashion statement. I had a hat made when I went to the Australian open as a kid. I don't think it was all that fancy, but I remember my mom making a big deal about her hat. :)
I watched parts of it, only because PBS is the only channel we get and that's what was on. I thought she was beautiful. My girls loved that she is a "real princess". :)

I wasn't going to watch. I thought it was overrated. I saw her dress -- I was hooked. I love simplicity and elegance. Very well done!
ReplyDeletehaha yea hats are totally a requirement for all posh/ royal occasions here in the UK. in really traditional churches some women still wear hats to church every week! and on weddings? hats are a definite must! :) i loved the wedding too. xx
