1. The Glass Castle. It's a memoir by Jeannette Walls, but is so absolutely ridiculous that I had to check twice to see if it was a true story. It's gripping (I've always wanted to use that word in a book review!), intriguing and just overall, a good story. If you are looking for a good read that is NOT chick lit in any way, shape or form, please check this book out!
2. Same Kind Of Different As Me. This is an amazing book about faith and what the power of faith and the Lord can do in one's life. I purchased this ebook because it was on the 'steals and deals' section, but I am so glad I did. It's not specifically a book about faith, or the type of book that tell you how to live and what you can do in order to change your life around. Rather, it's a story about a couple believed and trusted in the Lord and chose to serve others ... and it made me rethink everything I do, made me rethink how I interact with those I encounter, made me appreciate all that I have. amazing book.

I'm such a book worm too! My hubby makes fun of me all the time! ;)

Wow, the second one sounds like one I should check out for sure!
ReplyDeleteI'm a big reader too. I loved "The Glass Castle" and I would also recommend Jeannette Walls' other book, "Half Broke Horses".
ReplyDeleteA couple other great books I've read lately - "The Help" by Kathryn Stockett (movie is coming out soon) and "Room" by Emma Donaghue (disturbing, but very interesting). I also finished "The Hunger Games" trilogy recently. I didn't think it was my type of thing, but I couldn't put them down!
