While we were waiting for a table, the hostess told me that if we didn't mind, we could sit at the high top tables (near the bar) and it was first come, first serve. Vance and I waited on one side of the entrance near the bar and a family of 4 came behind us, directly looked at us acknowledging that we were waiting for a table (FIRST!), then proceeded to go around the other entrance and steal a table before us! I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT.
One of my weaknesses is that I often let people walk all over me, that I don't speak up for myself and complain about it later, but seriously, what good would it have done to tell those people off? Anyway, I'm just curious how you folks react in situations like those: when you get cut in front of in line, when someone steals something from right under you, when you have poor customer service in a store or restaurant ...
Other than that incident, it was an enjoyable night
Hubs is totally sunburnt. Boy doesn't know the meaning of sunscreen. Can't wait until someone introduces him to the idea.

ReplyDeleteIf I'm by myself, sometimes I chicken out, but with the hubs or a friend, I would usually say something. Especially if they were intentionally rude about it! Glad you got a date night. Those are SO necessary!

ReplyDeleteI hate rude people. I rarely say anything because it wouldnt do any good but I steam about it for a little while. I have had the occasion where someone ticked me off at the wrong time and I said something but not very often!

ReplyDeleteI can't stand rude people. I am like you and probably wouldn't have said anything. Every once in awhile if a certain button is pushed I might speak up.
Cheesecake factory is my ALL TIME favorite resturant, we don't have one close to us so for our anniversary Jake ordered me my favorite cheesecake and had it mailed to me from there! it was better than flowers!
ReplyDeleteI think I would have let Jake decide if it was worth saying something or not.. I tend to get fired up about stuff that isn't that important and he tempers me, but had I not been with Jake i would have for sure given them a dirty look and a snide comment.. LOL I'm so passive aggressive.
