Last week you turned 28 months. I'm sorry, but whaaaaat?! Did you know that last week we also called to sign you up on a wait list for preschool? I think my heart broke a little bit doing that. Sometimes Daddy and I look at you and we STILL can't believe that we created you. Maybe every parent thinks this, but we look at you and think that you are the most beautiful, amazing person to ever walk the planet.

Maybe you'll look back on this letter and think it's cheesy and mushy, but here's what I know about you at 2 years and 4 months. You are amazingly bright. You pick up things so quickly, it's frightening. You already know your shapes, colors, alphabet and can recognize a majority of the letters. We can hold a conversation with you. You love all furry animals but are terrified of lizards and roaches, which mommy and daddy use to their full advantage (when you don't want to do something, we shout out, "LOOK OUT FOR THE LIZARD!" it's pretty evil, but a little comical nonetheless). You are stubborn. Hard headed. Strong willed. I am 99% sure this makes for tough teenage years, but what I truly hope is that it will also make for ambition and never settling for anything less than what you really want and deserve. You refuse to be pushed into doing something you don't want to do. Everything is on YOUR time, when YOU'RE ready. Please remember that when you start dating :) You'll save daddy a lot of grey hair if you do.

You are shy. Only those closest to you get to see your crazy, vibrant personality, as though it's a secret you want to keep with those you love. You love to snack on junk food, but willingly eat raw broccoli, carrots and fruits. You get bored easily and constantly need to be stimulated by playing outside, going to the playground, playing with blocks. No, you are definitely not one of those toddlers who can quietly play by themselves in their room. You love to run and jump and climb ... to be quite honest, is exhausting, but I'm sure I will appreciate it when we approach your sports playing years. You are your mama's girl through and through, but no one, no one makes you laugh harder than your daddy does. One last thing girly ... in about 7 months you are about to be a big cousin :) We love you little monkey.

Happy 28 months to your baby girl! She is so precious! xoxo
