.. is going to be a good month. I can feel it in my bones. This is really dorky, but I was actually counting down September days, waiting for October. Why is October going to be so freaking amazing?
Wellll, since you asked..
-My birthday is on October 6th. I read somewhere that October 5th is the most popular birthday because it means your parents conceived on New Years. Aaaand I almost vomitted when I read that haha. Any kind of alluding to my parents doing anything sex related makes me want to hurl.
-We leave for our FIRST TRIP OF THE YEAR this month!
-As I previously mentioned, I think I'm throwing my sissy-in-laws gender party
-HALLOWEEN! I love Halloween and I love.love.love autumn. I spent one perfect semester during autumn in a tiny town called Chico, CA on a college exchange. I didn't know anyone and I'd never even heard of Chico before I flew there, haha. And yet it was the perfect semester of college. I will ALWAYS look at that time of my life fondly. 99% of the reason why it was so fun was that my roommates were amazing, loving people. One of whom continues to be one of my best friends, even though she's still there and I'm ... here. Her blogs is one of my favorite ... she and her husband are so adventurous and outgoing ... I love it.
(On another plug, could you please check out my friend's photography site? I think she is so freaking talented and her gift needs to be spread around the internet!)
Aside from all the things I just listed, I am just looking forward to the festive feling of October, the cooler weather (hopefully! It's been so hot here recently) and time with my sweet little family.

Love this post. And I always love your autumn rants (I think I hear one each year!). And I just love you. Thanks for the shout out!
ReplyDeleteps. Your comment showed up in my email inbox, but not on my blog! WTH?

I love October, too! There is so much change and anticipation of the coming holidays. It's a great time to cook, watch football and take walks in the cool air. Yay for October!

Loving that Fall print and especially the poem! Might have to hunt those down! I'm a Summer girl through and through, but Fall is captivating me this year in new ways. Maybe it's going to be "wild with leaves"!
