ridiculousness

One of my very best friends from high school came home for a bit and brought B a Christmas present-- LeBron James hot pink shoes! How freaking adorable are they?

guess the hot pink makes her want to dance!

My in-laws took all 3 of us to dinner to celebrate my new job... so sweet, right?

Speaking of my new job and life-- I am currently adjusting to everything new. I had a mini (well, I call it mini, but it really wasn't so mini) breakdown in the car with B the other day with everything going on. Little one may be dropping her nap, and was in the middle of a huge tantrum and I just ... lost it. Not my proudest moment and I felt like a huge jerk after I was done. Basically I threw a two year old tantrum in front of my two year old. I win the awesome mom of the year award.

  1. I threw a 2 year old tantrum last weekend. Luckily only my boyfriend saw and not our friends or his 1 year old little girl. I just couldn't take it any more. ha.

I hope the adjustment gets easier! Life will get to a new normal before you know it :).

  4. Those shoes are SO adorable!! I agree with the other comments - you need to have a little meltdown every once in awhile! I have them and I don't even have kids or a marriage to cause worry yet! I know you will find your balance soon!! :) By the way, I started following you on Instagram! YAY! :)

    Congrats on a new job!!
And don't worry, I'm pretty sure you moms are allowed to break down every once in awhile. It can't be easy, that's for sure. :)

  11. Hey I love your blog! Now following!

Congrats on the JOB, I was just offered a new job too, yay for 2012! Also on the townhome!

The shoes are way too cute, and she is just so adorable. I think its okay to have a tantrum sometimes, hey if she can have them a few times a week (or more) you are entitled to a couple once in awhile! You're only human! :)

  13. OMG, what a super cute dancing pic! And I'm pretty sure your tantrum was no worse than what all mommies let loose at one time or another -- at least you own up to yours. ;)

  18. Hey, thanks for your nice comment on my blog. I was just browsing through your posts and I see you can relate to having mommy melt downs. I know what you mean about feeling so terrible. I had another one of those stressful moments today. The best I know to do is to ask for forgiveness and I've learned from other moms with older kids that they're quick to accept our apologies and usually don't remember our mistakes like we do. I always knew I wasn't going to be a perfect mom but I was going to be a mom who wasn't afraid to say, "I'm sorry" and it seems that goes a long way. =)
