32 weeks + cookie making night

32 weeks! Feeling the same except for some random fatigue that has suddenly hit. Man oh man it's getting hard to keep my eyes open while putting B down for a nap. I realize I should be sleeping and resting before baby arrives, but truthfully, I'm not a nap-taker. Even when Brooke was a newborn, I had the most difficult time "sleeping when the baby sleeps." I was a zombie back then and will most likely be a zombie this time around :) Feeling blessed to see little guy in a 3/4D ultrasound tomorrow

What I wore to my brother's wedding reception (31 weeks and some amount of days)

Taken today, 32 weeks, 1 day

My girlfriends (who also happen to be my cousins-- trust me, this made for an excellent childhood) stopped by to have dinner and decorate cookies with Brooke. We had a blast catching up and Brooke relished all of the attention!

My cousin graduated from an Ivy League college, is now a doctor and is recently engaged... she lives and works in NY. Basically she is amazing.

Clearly we are not a domestic group.

I didn't notice this until my friends pointed it out, but I think my little girl has not one, but two dimples! Where in the world did the other one come from?!

B and my not-so-baby cousin

Yum, cookies!

BeloBe Baby

A parent from a school I work at owns a baby boutique and gave me a few "gifts" from her line! I can't even express how grateful I am for her generosity and thought I'd share her amazing work.

The first item is a tiny little blanket with an adorable little stuffed animal attached to it-- think of the perfect lovey-- soft (minky), easy to carry and a little animal to carry around? Perfection. She also makes bigger blankets in adorable Hawaiian prints-- I love how bright and cheery everything is!

Next up: reusable diaper. I've never really considered cloth diapering, but this is just adorable! I may just use the cover over a sposie :)

And, an adorable onesie! This onesie is so soft and I love the Hawaiian islands across the star. . I think I may need to buy a few for my nephew too (She's got some ADORABLE girls' onesies too!)

Lastly, an amazing stroller cover. . . I love this product because our stroller was pretty nasty and it was so hard to clean. I feel so reassured that I can place this over the seat and when necessary, can remove it, throw it in the washer and put it back on! The straps come with it too, so soft and functional. Love, love, love.

31 weeks + other randoms

Eek, time is starting to go by quickly! I still have a ton of heartburn/acid reflux and my fingers/feet are starting to swell after I walk. Been having BH contractions early on and the belly is itchy and red. Those are the not-so-fun symptoms, but overall I feel fine. It's funny-- some people comment about how BIG and LOW I am this time around and yet others say how TEENY TINY I am! Who knows.

We've been pretty busy around here, what with me working, little lady going to preschool 3 times a week plus swim lessons on the weekend. So thankful that my mom is retired and can take and pick Brooke up from school!

Enjoying her candy

Amazing 1st birthday party, with airbrush tattoo artists,

& balloon twisters!

I am enjoying 3 years old SO much. 2 was a rough year for me, I tell Brooke all the time how much I want to put Tinkerbell's pixie dust all over her and keep her this age forever :)

Fun before 4: activity 1

With 10ish weeks to go until we are officially a family of four, Vance and I decided to write a bunch of "Brooke" things down on a piece of paper, throw it into a bag and let her choose a weekend activity. These "Brooke" activities include things that she begs us to do but often hears, "not today," or "next time." Things like go to the playground, the beach, the zoo. We allowed ourselves the power of 2 substitutions-- if she chooses something that we don't feel like doing, we can sub it for something else in the bag.

This past weekend she chose the Children's Museum, or The Discovery Center

Forced smiles and an awkward thumb

Practice makes perfect when it comes to chopsticks. ;) Any good Hawaii born Asian can use chopsticks (except for my mom who always asks for a fork)

Bon dance 2012

Because there was a bon dance in the city we live this weekend, we took advantage of the fact that my aunt lives close by & parked in her extra stall and walked ourselves over for good food, loud music that we couldn't understand and LOTS of people! I remember going to these when I was a little kid and am glad Brooke enjoyed watching all of the old Japanese ladies dancing in a circle, wearing their kimonos :)

So funny to think how trendy these paper lanterns are now!

Hi Mason!

Eating andagi ... like the true Okinawan she is

I think these little kimonos are adorable

30 weeks!

Eek! 10 more weeks! 10 more weeks! These were taken at work in our lovely disgusting work bathroom. I plan to work until the day I deliver, which is what I did with Brooke, but I was fortunate enough that my water broke at home at 4am. We'll see how this one goes. . .

Once again, my appetite for sweets is insatiable. I am sure that the weight is going to start crawling and creeping up on me again :(

28 & 29

Oops, I forgot to post week 28. I just looked through that week's pictures and they are so funny! For some reason, little man was hanging out on the side of my belly and it looks so strange. Makes it look like my belly is not real-- maybe that's how they get pictures of celebrities with "fake" bumps? Who knows. Been feeling OK, minus the heartburn and what appears to be some red, angry rash all over my belly. Boo. Finding work clothes is a huge chore, but I purchased my first pair of maternity jeans this time around and it felt nice to wear 'real' pants!

28 weeks:

28 weeks 6 days (taken yesterday at work bathroom). It was kindercamp, hence the name tag splayed across my belly

29 weeks (taken today at work-- how lovely are our work bathrooms?!)
